Prince Olawale
A Legitimate Heir to the Awujale Stool

Barr. Prince Olawale Oriola Adeyemi is a direct male-line descendant of “Olu” (Olufadeke), the first male Abidagba of Awujale Fúsẹngbúwà, the 41st Awujale of Ijebuland. As the first great-great-great-grandson of this historic lineage, his family’s eligibility to the Awujale Stool is firmly grounded in established Ijebu tradition and documented royal succession.

A U.S-trained corporate lawyer and proud son of Ijebu-Ode, Prince Olawale was raised under the guardianship of his grandfather, Prince Fasasi Adebisi Adeyemi (Obanlefa), the respected former Olori-Ebi of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House (1988–2013). From him, he inherited a legacy of integrity, discipline, and unwavering service to the Awujale institution.

In honor of this lineage, Prince Olawale rebuilt the Olufadi/Obanlefa House at Ile-Nla, transforming it into a modern administrative center, archive, and symbol of continuity for the ruling house. His candidacy for the Awujale Stool is anchored in historical legitimacy, lawful entitlement, and a lifelong dedication to the cultural heritage of Ijebuland.
